Happy first weekend of sunny weather! After all the snow days filled with cold and treacherous ice, Chicago finally received some beautiful sunshine this weekend 🙂 This Saturday called for a coffee date with one of my best friends, Naida, who is also my photographer ❤
We visited Cupitol in Evanston, Illinois. This is a go-to coffee shop for anyone living in the Northern suburbs. You can find all food categories here-from coffee, pressed-juices, and pastries, to burgers or even salads. The large array of pastries, in particular, makes it challenging to choose just one! You have options which range from your typical chocolate chip cookies, all the way to fancier pecan tarts, croissants, and scones! I tried an Iced Matcha Latte with almond milk along with a Pecan Maple Scone. Naida ordered a Nutella Latte and Mini Fruit Tart.
When you walk into the coffee shop, you order over the counter, and then proceed to sit down at any table. The furniture and inside scenery of the cafe offers a cosy, European style vibe. This place was also ideal to snap some pictures filled with the colorful decorative pillows laying around!
We also decided to explore downtown Evanston! We ran into numerous vibrant murals, architectural monuments, and such cute side streets! With the bright weather, we took so many clear shots next to some of our favorite statues.
For this daytime adventure, I styled one of the dresses from Aeropostale’s newest spring collection. This “Plaid Mini Dress” gave off a feminine, blue print silhouette. I was back to my high school uniform days! 😀 I paired it with a white “Turtle Neck Solid Tee” from Shein. I am wearing a size small in both the dress and long-sleeve shirt.
